EDIL ERGOZHAEVICH YERGOZHIN is 80!
The conference is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh scientist-internationalist - academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Laureate of the International Prize "Platinum Tarlan", Honored Inventor RK, holder of the "Parasat" order, a famous scientist in the field of polymer chemistry and ion exchange, membrane technologies - Ergozhin Edil Ergozhaevich.
The entire conscious life of Edil Ergozhaevich is an example of selfless service to his people, the development of domestic chemical science, and the training of highly qualified domestic personnel.
While still a student at KazSU named after S.M. Kirov, he began to engage in scientific research in the laboratory of ion-exchange resins of the Institute of Chemical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. At 32 he defended his doctoral dissertation, at 42 he was elected a corresponding member, and at 48 - an academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR.
Author of 32 fundamental monographs, 7 textbooks, 72 review articles, 1500 scientific articles, 350 copyright certificates of the USSR, prepatents, patents, utility model patents, innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, founder and editor-in-chief (2003-2020) of the scientific journal "Chemical Journal of Kazakhstan ”, published since 2003, E.E. Ergozhin has gone a glorious way from the head of the laboratory of ion-exchange resins of the Institute of Chemical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR to the vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, vice-minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Academician E.E. Ergozhin created original technologies for the production of new heterogeneous, homogeneous, interpolymer and bipolar ion-exchange membranes with improved physicochemical and electrochemical characteristics, developed industrial electrodialysis plants and water desalination stations. The developed technology was introduced at the Almaty Electromechanical Plant. For the development of a priority scientific direction in a new field of membrane technology and the development and implementation of electrodialysis units of the EDU series into the national economy, Ergozhin E.E., as a scientific supervisor, was awarded the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology.
Under the scientific supervision of Edil Ergozhaevich, 13 doctors and 95 candidates of chemical sciences, 4 doctors of philosophy (PhD) were trained.

CONFERENCE THEME
The program of the international scientific and practical conference covers the following areas:
Section 1. Progress and integration of science, education and production - a vector of modern development;
Section 2. Achievements, problems and prospects in the field of ion exchange and membrane technologies;
Section 3. Modern problems of the development of the production of chemical products and petrochemistry.
The conference program will include plenary (by the invitation of the organizing committee) and oral reports.
The working language of the conference is Kazakh, English, Russian
The organizing committee reserves the right to select reports for publication in the collection of proceedings of the international scientific and practical conference.
