Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Scientific Conference “Promising Directions for the Development of Chemistry and Chemical Technology”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, Academician Abiken Bekturov.

Information letter

Academician A.B. Bekturov is recognized as one of the founders of chemical science in Kazakhstan. His scientific works laid the foundation for the integrated processing of mineral raw materials and the development of physical chemistry. This conference aims to serve as a platform for dialogue among representatives of fundamental science, education, and industry, continuing the traditions of Academician Bekturov’s scientific school in the context of modern global challenges.

SCIENTIFIC SECTIONS OF THE CONFERENCE

Section 1. Inorganic, Physical, and Agricultural Chemistry: Synthesis, Processes, and Technologies (Synthesis of inorganic compounds and salts, physical chemistry of processes and systems, thermodynamics and kinetics of reactions, production of innovative mineral fertilizers, growth regulators, and environmentally friendly plant protection products.)

Section 2. Hydrocarbon Feedstock Chemistry, Catalysis, and Processing Technologies (Catalytic systems, deep processing of oil and gas, petrochemical processes, production of functional materials and high value-added products.)

Section 3. Organic Chemistry, Functional Polymer Systems, and Biopharmaceutical Technologies (Organic synthesis, chemistry of natural compounds, biologically active substances, functional polymers and composites, sorbents, membrane and ion-exchange materials, delivery systems, and technologies for obtaining high-value products.)

Section 4. Sustainable Technologies and Green Chemistry in Mineral Raw Material Processing (Hydrometallurgy, processing of phosphorites and rare-earth elements, integrated extraction of valuable components, green chemistry, waste minimization, and environmentally safe chemical-technological processes.)

Section 5. Legacy of Academician A.B. Bekturov: History, Modernity, and Youth Science (Evolution of chemical schools in Kazakhstan, the role of personality in science, presentations by young scientists, master's students, and doctoral candidates.)
